| Company Profile: See above Job Description: Title: Logistics Project Manager - 36 month contract based in Panama About the Client: Our Miami based client has a estimated 36 month logistics contract and needs a Logistics Project Manager to work in Panama, supplies parts and equipment for contractors working on the Panama Canal. Job Description: Manage approximately 20 employees, involved in complete logistics effort of supplying equipment and supplies to contractors involved in building locks. Overseeing approximately 200 PO's daily, deal with ports, trucking, FF, Customs (USA and Panama). Fast paced environment, basic understanding of complexity of the project, able to redesign organization, improve chain of distribution, identify, control and correct duplicity of efforts. This candidate must have vision and be capable to have a quick reaction Reporting: directly to the Company's President Requirements: • Intimate experience with Panama and US shipping regulations. • Engineering background with middle management experience. • Great organizational skills required. • Good Knowledge and experience expediting, purchasing, shipping and logistics. • Five + years experience running large projects. • Able to work under pressure and meeting time deadlines. • Experience managing 20+ expediters, traffic, and documentation staff. • Bilingual and extended living in Panama a plus. Compensation: US$ 65,000 - $95,000. Candidate will be under Client's Panama Branch payroll, paid in US dollars and under Panama labor laws and includes; working for 11 months and receiving pay for 13 months, client's health plan is available.
